Juiced-up Botte Label Graphics Achieved with Character Using CCL Shrink Sleeve Technology

Juiced-up Botte Label Graphics Achieved with Character Using CCL Label Shrink Sleeve Technology The popularity of “boy genius” Jimmy Neutron™ and SpongeBob SquarePants™ made them a natural choice for the new 12-ounce kids drink line presented by Nickelodeon™ and its marketing group, Ohio-based Global Consumer Products, Inc.

“Our exciting new product, Cool Topz, ™ features a unique molded plastic cap fashioned like the licensed character and a convenient flip-top spout,” explains Global President Jerry Frantz. “We needed a full-body shrink sleeve bottle label that was just as dynamic to make it jump off the shelves. Also critical was the attention to graphic detail to insure the highest quality and deliver an exact match to Nickelodeon’s character imagery. That’s when we called CCL Auto-Sleeve.”

The 50 micron, high-shrink PVC labels are sure to be a favorite in the children’s drink market according to Renae Abbadini, Account Executive for CCL Auto-Sleeve. “The flexo, reverse-printed labels involved a complex, eight-color design that was color-rich with maximum graphic coverage. Numerous adjustments were required to fit the contours of Global’s custom-engineered bottle design. Our CCL Auto-Sleeve technical team was up for the challenge and successfully produced a vibrant, true-to-character sleeve.”

Progressive Plastics manufactured the bottle with sleeves applied by Alliance Labeling in Canada. Since its launch in July of 2002, Global consumer Products is reporting that sales of this new and unique child-centered drink have exceeded expectations. Demand is great and the product has completely sold out in many markets.
